Olympic skier and medalist Lindsey Vonn was all the rage during the most recent Olympic Games, but now she’s taking a break from skiing in a major way and has been seen at a wide array of formal events. Vonn has been seen recently at such events as the Academy of Country Music Awards and a variety of others and has a trip to the White House Correspondents dinner coming up, in addition to an appearance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art gala. It seems that the skiing sensation is just as comfortable in a gown and high heels as she is in a helmet and skis.
Noted Vonn, "I’ve been enjoying life since the Olympics. I’m just doing fun things now. No workouts, no training. I’m just enjoying the time away from skiing after a lot of years of grinding it out." Vonn has recently been shooting a commercial for Under Armour as well, and taking advantage of the fame earned during her participation in the games. Speaking of the change from ski outfit to formal wear, Vonn noted, "I love getting dressed up."
Asked what she was up to, Vonn noted, "Doing a cameo on ‘Law & Order,’ my favorite TV show. I got to play a jury foreman and had a line. I got to meet all my favorite actors, Jeremy (Sisto) and Anthony (Anderson). They were funny, cracking jokes between scenes. Alana de la Garza plays this real serious character but she’s hilarious." Asked about giving up skiing for being an actress or celebrity of a different sort and Vonn decline, noting, "I’d do Law & Order again but we’re heading to Austria in June to start training for another ski season. Hopefully, Tom and I will get a chance to go on a brief vacation before that."
